blowsion coupler cover

I forgot!
anyone else have a problem with theres, mine would not stay tight so i locktighted it and put lock washers in attempts to keep it from getting loose and rattling. now it cracked my bedplate where it bolts up to. its because it does not get supported by the mid shaft assembly. now i have it all rigged up so it is supported but it is ugly as sin. sucks cause it looked good before.

haha nice i wish i known that before i got it. :banghead: i wonder why they wouldn't fix the problem with it. I've liked all the other stuff i ever got from them. In no way am i knocking Blowsion either, they are great and got me my b-pipe when none were available. Anyways i think i got it fixed now,:Banane01:
i'd post a pic but i really disgraced the coupler cover with my typical dimond plating rivit job:biggrin:

I had the same thing happen with mine.
I finnaly bought new bedplates, and went back to a stock coupler with the rubber isolated rear 3rd mount.

I think if the bolts were loctited from the begining, it wouln't be an issue.

actually on mine one bedplate broke and on the other side the cover had enough metal fatigue from vibrating to crack the area around the hole and now instead of a hole it is C shaped.

i use an 1100 one cut down
i think its off an 1100
it is big and then goes small around the shaft
i cut the shaft bit off
its nice and lite and doesnt break

Does it need to be there, may sound a stupid question but if you`ve changed to billet couplers and tied all the hose/lines out the way do you guy`s still think it`s wise to still use it.

Yes, your coupler will throw water up to your carbs if you don't run a cover.

I never realized how MUCH water it flings around until I was flushing the ski with it off...and had left the cooling intake line off. Water went EVERY where.

I'm quite happy with the stock cover. I need to find another one however, seeing as mine exploded when those motor mounts went.
