Is the blowsion dual bilge bracket worth it? I am tired of pump housings breaking after they are glued to the hull. Couldn't find any on whether they are worth the money or not, figured i'd check before i blowsion my money

I had similar issues and switched back to the blowsion bracket years ago. I've had no issues since so I believe it's worth the money. My only complaint with the bracket is that the pumps sit a bit higher than if they were glued down.

They pop up used for much cheaper if you are patient enough. In fact, I had a used one laying around at one time. I'll check tonight and see if I still have it.

I have a couple of brand new black anodized singles I will unload. Worthless to me. Dont fit most aftermarket hulls.

Let me know if find something OCD. Another question that i am sure you can answer....what ID diameter tube should I use for a trim tube? I am refoaming right now and want to put a tube in for trim sometime down the road...just not sure what size it should be.

I don't have a blowsion brand one, but the one I have is the same as any other single pump holder.

To answer your question, Yes.

Install the strainer with 3/16" short shank aluminum rivets and aluminum rivet washers. Rivets installed from the bottom, washers go on the inside of the basket. Washers may be optional but you get a very nice snug fit if you use them.

Why don't they fit most aftermarket hulls?

looks like the bilge bracket mounts to the intermediate shaft housing...i am guessing that the height of the int. housing to engine bay floor is different on aftermarket hulls.

anyone know what tube size i should use for a trim tube?

Why do aftermarket hull builders not add in a pad/plate to mount a bilge pump or two, just a couple aluminum inserts to screw the bases to?

The tube should be big enough for the tip of my pinky finger to fit inside. Bigger is fine too. I used 1/2 inch pvc once. Put threads on one end so you can screw a cap on and block it off.

I expect a large royalty check for every hull you guys sell with the Yamanube integrated bilge pump mounting system.

I have one works great I did the same as Vumad wit the washers, the only thing I found is it does bolt to mid shaft housing and only sits a couple of milometers above the bottom of my hull but with vibration it started to rub threw the bottom of my hull so I just put some big blobs of sikaflex under it so it is great now

Rad Dudes makes a Kawi one. And we have an aftermarket and Superjet setup we have been testing for a year. It holds the bilges different and it's been working very well. Should have them on the market by Daytona.
