Well, I blew the base gasket on my stocker. I have an 06 sxr which has a totally stock motor. I did not even rejet because I didn't want to wrench on this boat. I bought the boat back in mid april and put about 15hrs on it while I was putting my limited back together. Limited was finished is the begining of June so the stocker just sat. I went to Ocean City, MD for 2 days of riding and rode the stocker for 3 tanks the 2nd day. 2 for bouys and 1 for the surf and the boat ran great. I beat the hell out of it, running WOT for 15-20mins at a time. Carving turns like mad just having all and all good time on the boat. I opened the hood after flushing and saw some oil residue next to the pulse fitting. After looking closer I saw a peice of gasket sticking out. I used a probe and can move the gasket. Now, I'm not sure if I sould bright it back to the dealer or just fix it myself using a metal core gasket like I use on my limited. What do you guys think?
I've riden this boat real hard for the 17-18hrs that are on it but it still shouldn't blow. The whole reason I bought this boat is to not wrench on it. Oh well...... life happens

Take it to the dealer and hope someone that knows what thier doing fixes it, if you do it yourself it may void the warranty, my opinion
