Worth doing a top end. Figure $300 in machine work and parts from someone that knows what they're doing. Pretty good time to port while it is all apart if you have the extra chedda.

That's what i was afraid of because I know I'm gonna end up spending a lot on a ski I don't have much time to ride. I also have access to a 760 that needs a rebuild. Does anyone make a lightened 760 flywheel. Also would a milled head be ok with about 170psi or would i need a girdle head

There is a lightweight 760 flywheel available but you're better off ditching the 64x electronics for a 61x or 62t setup. As for the milled head, it depends on what cylinder you are using. The 61x cylinder is the one that's known to crack at the base on the intake side when running high compression and that's what the girdled heads are for. The 62t and 64x cylinders have thicker flanges and should be ok but a girdled head is still good insurance especiallyf you spend the money on porting. A ported cylinder with a cracked or broken base flange is useless.

Talking with the guy helping me put it all together. We are gonna be mounting my 61x stator and flywheel. Not gonna do any real porting just gonna clean up the casting. I will end up with a 760 the 61x flywheel(lighter than 64x) milled head blaster limited bpipe. Riva adjustable rev cdi, milled head. Gonna wait on prop pump work till swap is water tested.
