blaster mod chamber mounting help

I have a blaster mod chamber that I just bought but do not have the lord mounts and brackets that mounts to the flywheel cover and above the manifold on the cylinder. Do I have to buy these from factory pipe or has someone used an alternative method to attach one of these chambers to the engine.

Factory pipe charges outrageous prices for their bracketry. Was quoted $115 for the kit to mount the chamber (2 brackets). One of the pieces of rubber they charge $53 for......unbelievable.

Has anyone used resources available at the hardware store to mount one of these?

might check a good local hardware store too, maybe even a lowes , they may have stuff like that.

a block of rubber with a hole in it, and a bolt thru it would be the same pretty much right?

No, the threaded stud does not pass straight through. It is two pieces molded into the rubber to allow for movement caused by shock and vibration. A solid bolt would not allow for movement.

gotcha,

I just figured it was like a regular 'lord' mount.

I looked at the mounting tabs on that pipe, they didnt look overly complex, but I didnt mock it up on an engine either.

i think it will be pretty easy.....i can buy just the brackets from factory and then the rubber mounts from mcmaster batercarr. the sandwich mounts were the expensive part from factory pipe.

The bracket that mounts the pipe to the flywheel you can build it out of aluminum. I built one with this picture. Powder sent me this picture. It was a HUGE help.

Print the picture out and if your change doesn't match in size then enlarge it and print it again. When it is the right size cut it out of aluminum
