I know it has been asked before but who has run a blaster mod chamber in their SJ and what did you think? Is it worth it? How is the power delivery? Is the bottom end soft or strong?

Moondance

Just plain me....
I have one in my ski. Bottom end is strong & torquey. Power is smooth all the way from bottom to top end. I've had several compliments on how smooth the power is & strong off the bottom the ski hits.

Nearly everyone I know of who has run one claims to have dented the chamber to make it fit. Otherwise, run it if ya got it.

I have one and plan on running it. I sold my Power factor set up with my 927 WDK engine and got this blaster mod set up for a song. I think it looks like a nice set up. I plan to Jet-Hot coat the chamber and run it dry b/c its stainless and will probably get pretty warm.

I just ask b/c doing searches it looked like back in pre-2007 they were a hot item, then people started selling them off and it had mixed reviews????

True story, my 5 mil w/carbon B limited runs real good, swap in the Blaster mod and it goes straight to hell everywhere in the powercurve. Installed the Blaster mod in a B1 hooked to a LPW 83mmx68mm stoke-740ccish???
and it HAULED MAJOR AZZ EVERYWHERE!!! The owner of the B1 forgot to open any water screws on the head pipe-we melted alot of stuff real quick. We now run the top screw 1/4 open and the mid screw 1/8 open and it is still real strong.

I previously ran waaaaaaaaaay too much water in the chamber w/it was on my 5 mil. Now that I accidentally found the secret to performance, I wanna try it on my ski again this winter.

I think u r on the right track, coat it, run the bitch dry and put the water to the waterbox instead!

I tried one in my ski a couple years ago. I just had a 61x/62t motor, MSD, ADA w/pump gas, single 49 Full Spec, ATP manifold. I just rigged up a small tank to try it without denting the chamber. It seemed to rev out a little more than my SJ limited chamber, but not a huge difference. I ended up selling it instead of denting it to make it fit with a OEM tank.

I talked to Paul and Chuckie, and they recommended the limited chamber when I went to a ported big bore.

So what is the difference between the various kidney shaped chambers?
FP made the blaster one, WaveRaider one, one for a Kawasaki. They are all the same basic kidney shaped chamber.
I only have the Raider chamber so I can't compare, are they different?

I would think that at least the mounting points have some variation. Not sure on the dimensions of the chamber. From a cost stand point it would make the most sense to have them all the same. They did that with the head pipes, why not the chambers.

i have run one for the last year or so i only swapped from a limited superjet pipe for ease of working on my ski and never noticed any difference in power mine is strong of the bottom that said i do run mine quiet dry as far as making it fit i just used a dead blow hamer and put a small ding near the tank and a big one just as it comes out the headpipe i just paint stripped all the powder coating off and had it professionally polished and it looks sweet and just a quick rub every couple of rides and it still looks good
