blaster impeller opinions 14-22 ? 15- 20

Im currently running a 83.5mm bore ,riva red pipe ,dual 44,ported ,welded crank ,210 psi comp. ,105 octane gas , it currently has the 14-22 skat prop.... My problem is i sucked a piece of wood and it chipped up the stator severly so im replacing it ''had one on the shelf '' what luck ! , Impeller run-out measures fine but it has cavitation burns on the leading face and outside edges ,what causes that ?, I also have a 15-20 ybsc-c solas prop on the shelf , would this be a good replacement ? i dont do many high speed runs but this ski is an arm stretcher on the bottom and fast on the top the way it is ! how will the 15-20 compare on bottom and top ? any help or opinions appreciated while i got the pump out for 2 days:boggled:

i don't know how you turn such big props, what are your rpm's at wot.

i turn a 16/20 cutback in 140 size in a full superstock race motor and 14-18.5 144 in a freestyle ported limited setup.

iI dont know if this is considered lim or mod ? but on a tiny tach ,, when i had the ski tied to the trailer in the water on the ramp ,it was 7250-7350 , who ever set the ski up took their time, even the prop was sanded perfectly from center hub out to the edges and they took their time to polish the inside of the stator vanes , im not saying its the best out there but somebody spent some time where most people wouldn't . I just dont have any prop experience at all ! im also the guy putting the 66e in my other blaster if that tells you anything about my ski savy ! the 66e will be running and painted by next week ''waiting on a intake pipe '' so if it turns out like i hope it to.... ill sell this one regretfully . by the way this ski was set up for denver colorado if that makes any difference at that altitude on props '

on trailer is not very accurate, the load is different. but anyhow it must be ported right?

my rpm's are 7800 on the superstock and 7250 on the limited with a dry pipe.

i choose my props by where the rpm's should be for the most power out of my setup. but i have a tim judge telling me what my motors should be turning for rpm's. you can goto his website and email him your questions. just be sure an give him as much motor info as you can.

his website is judgemotorsports.com

tell him i said to ask him:smile:
