Billet gas caps... supposed to have a gasket?

So I picked up an new umi billet gas cap off ebay but it doesn't have a gasket. Should it? I bought it from a shmoe, not dealer, so don't think he knows if it is supposed to have it or not.

Anyone with a umi or other billet gas cap that can comment?

Funny, my original cap had no gasket but still sealed perfect (would release pressure/suction when I opened it). The unfunny thing is that the stinking gasket is going to cost me over $10! I put the billet cap on w/out gasket for now and if it gets pressure/suction over the next couple days I won't bother with a gasket.

By the way, billet gas caps are heavy!

Probably because they expect you to use your OEM gasket.
Which costs $5.17 brand-new, by the way.
