Did you shave off the mounts for the old stock pump? That may give you some more room. . .

did you try attatching it to the battery tray? if you have some of you engine components out it should be easy. drill 2 holes near the bottom of the battery tray, attatch the bilge tray with screws, then snap on bilge and hook up wires.
