Bilge pumps

For the automatic Rule bilge pumps, do they only go on every 2 1/2 minutes or will it also go on when water level gets too high? I wouldn’t want it to go off, sense no water, but then take in a bunch of water and wait 2 1/2 minutes before it can drain.

I didn’t think it was that long of a duration between cycles but I do believe you are correct on the function. Plenty of riders swear but them and have zero issues.

I think it helps that the 800 pumps a ton of water so it catches up quick if it does get behind.

Not anymore they don't. I miss the build quality of the original RULE pumps. I had a 500 that was over 12 years old and still running strong.
You're lucky to get a season and a half out of the newer ones.

I built a couple kits for the Automatic pumps that come with a 3 position toggle for Man/Off/Auto function. I believe I even have a couple of the automatic pumps kicking around still.

I have one of the auto ones and it kicks on every few minutes but then kicks off after around 30 seconds or so even if there is still plenty of water to pump..
