1 year old Kawi coil went bad first then a brand new WSM coil went bad (wires on both of course) then blew a dome o-ring. sjetrider loaned me a great coil and jumponit loaned me o-rings and things were happy in Jett-land finally on Sunday.

Saturday I toted the ski across the beach more than I rode it.

The guy on the couch came in and helped with: bringing a tow rope and the sxr:kabong: with no hood latches, tied the ski on the wrong end, and coudn't assist on holding in the tray to put the ski on the beach. he was also way off shore as if he went outside and pulled his hood and sank the boat accidently. new guys remember how long it takes to slide into hypo-thermia in 50 degree water. about 2 min. when you have short john. maybe 20 min with a full or dri suit and boots. that couch rider has towed sunken boats many times over the past 25 years or so. a good rescue person is an idea to look close at especially during sick trick and buster times.:Thinkingof_: the beach patrol said they had no one willing to assist on their honda, unless an emergency due to temps....:Banane09: i happen to know a guy....na.. he ......might...na.:beerchug:

Two questions:
1. Who are you?
2. Have you been drinking tonight?

the guy on the couch couldn't tie a knot. We tried to get it to work with that ski 3 times. Knot came undone each time and couch guy said he couldn't turn the ski off which makes it really easy to hook up the other end of the rope.

the old square towed in the sxr with it tied up correctly.(backwards from the rideplate) When they are sunk that bad they float a$$ end up and you have to tow them backwards.

we have towed skis in much worse conditions than that and 5 miles back to the ramp on top of it.

as for hypothermia? there were guys out there riding for hours in shorts.

took me half a min to get it tied right and start pulling it in. its no big deal. as for the rider getting cold what the hell were you thinking riding with shorts? when your boat is running and your working to ride it your good. as soon as it stops running and your in the water your in trouble. allways ride with the correct gear!!!

SO You are grateful for the rope and assistance? most people have a natural characteristic to help those in need( and there are some, who just sit on a computer and bash the others with their powerful keyboards). I was just trying to help you get out of the dangerous situation. We have always put the rider in the trey to allow the boat to be towed on plane and have a quicker recovery and less carb time. Sorry the rope was too long, keep part of it handy for your next surf adventure...don't forget that new gear..
