I posted a ad to trade a 9-15 hooker impeller for a 10-16, in my ad I clearly stated the impeller had a few nicks that were sanded off, BK answered my ad, and asked for pics, I sent him 2 emails with pics(see pics below) After getting the emails with the pictures his response was "Looks ok Send it UPS insured. When I get it, I will turn around and ship the 10-16 back same way" this however would not work for me timing wise, BK being a Mod, me being in a time crunch, I offered to paypal him a couple hundred to send it out the next day and I would send my impeller when I received his to ensure I had enough time to water test my new motor before wavedaze, he agreed but wanted 230, I figured the amount of the deposit doesn't matter, I'm getting my money back anyways, I received his impeller quick and in good condition and in enough time to test my ski, I sent my 9-15 back to him within hours of receiving the 10-16, only to receive a email from him(now he has my prop and money)"Got prop. This prop is nowhere near the shape of the one I sent. Blades are bent, burnt and gouged up. I will send back to you. Just ask that you cover shipping." the prop is obviously not in the trashed condition he is making it out to be( I also had 2 different members look at the impeller before I sent to him and both thought it was more than fine, I even told him I have no problem buying his impeller outright, however, I'm not paying new prices for a used impeller, I have gotten nowhere with BK, assuming I get my prop back, he's expecting me to pay 240(230 plus shipping mine) for used impeller, that's crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never would I pay that much for a used impeller Jet Maniac sells New ones for almost the same price shipped, used hooker impellers sell for 200ish on this site and everyone knows that, he is trying to get new prices for a used impeller, and refuses to try to make the situation right, This is just not right, he thinks just because he's a Mod on this site he can do whatever he wants, I'm sure I'll get some flak for leaving Neg Feedback on a Mod, but #1 i'm Pi$$@#, #2 just a warning to others

If you did send those pictures to him he should have noticed the impeller being screwed up. Lets wait and see what bk has to say.

These are the only 2 pictures I received. Never received all of those pictures he posted. I will post up pics from the underside of the blades to show what was not shown. Along with all of the emails concerning the transaction. I will let you all make the call.

You stated you sent me 10 pics (See Post Below), you only sent me these two.

This is only pic of prop other than with it still inside of wear ring. That is 2 pics. All I asked was what was fair. Pay shipping back. I would never trade a prop with burn marks on the blades, Bent blades and gouges. But hey. Tried to help you out. I will just send your 9-15 back and we will call it even. Or send my prop back on Monday. Up to you. I never received and email with 10 pics.

You asked to trade. You requested I send my prop to you so you could test on Thursday. I originally said send me yours and then I would ship you mine. But you needed the prop quick. I accommodated you. You also made the offer to send money. That was the correct way to do trades. Your shipping was $9.64. Not $12.00. Shipping prop to you cost me $15.40. Paying $230.00 shipped is the same as $215.00 for the prop and $15.00 shipping. New is $269.00 plus shipping.


Here is another breakdown. $230.00 for prop inc shipping. Now I will spend $15.00 more dollars to return it to you. That is leaving me with $200.00 after all shipping and no prop. And I go on a weeks vacation at the beach In 2 weeks and have no prop. You think I don't feel screwed. To run your prop I would have to spend $50.00 to overnight this prop to IMPROS, pay him $90.00 to repair and then ship back. And hope I get it back in time. That option will cost me out the tail. That alone is almost $200.00 just to run this prop. My ski has not hit the water yet either. Have to test it before my vacation.

From Pics Above with the Mic measurements were taking from top of corner of blade down to flat service. I do not have the proper measuring table with a mic setup but this is close enough to show the bent blades. Will try and get pics posted that shows the curling of the blades, hard to get a decent picture of.

If I were to sell something to someone and they had issues. I would not hesitate to offer to pay the shipping for them to return it. That is the fair thing to do. As I stated in emails on saturday. I will be shipping your prop back USPS Insured at my expense. Just something for others to think about when dealing with you. You do not stand behind your items you sale. Not once did you ever say "Hey man, I am sorry you do not feel that prop is in the condition you expected, what can I do". You actually requested I send you the prop back with a Set of BK Twisters that I make....... Wait, I do not make them/nor sale them. I do have a set that are in my ski that I was going to ship back with your prop, I still have my regular screws that I can use. But, I think I will just keep them.

Please show me how I refused to make things right. You received a prop in excellent shape. I did not. It is not up to me to make it right. If I had send you a prop that looked like yours, well, then, yeah, It would be on me.

Summary.

You asked someone to trade.
I traded.
You paid $230.00 security. I spent $15.00 to ship you prop in timely manner you requested.
Balance $215.00. Now I am sending you your prop back. This will cost another $15.00.
Balance $200.00. This leaves me with $200.00 to either find a used prop (Going rate of about $230.00 shipped - one thread I found really quick of previous selling props) or $285.00 (See Above) to buy a new prop from IMPROS or Jetmaniac.

I would prefer new. This means I am $85.00 out of pocket now. $230.00 shipped is a far cry from $285.00. Let me know where I can buy New Props for $230.00 Please. I am looking for one.

Oh, Just because I am an Admin/Owner/Moderator/justanotherguywhogetsupandtakesadumpinthemorningjustlikeeverybodyelse does not make me feel I can do what I want. I did not ask you to trade props. You posted a request for trade. I did not force you to trade, I bent over backwards to get prop pulled and shipped off. Funny thing is, you can ask anybody that I have sold to, I am a very slow shipper. I remember taking 2 months to send Yamasaki something, Heck, I sold a AC Stand to everybody's favorite seller Dirkdiggler and told him, it make take me a week or two. Heck, I even removed the prop you got and sent it up to Michigan to Freestylegeek just to test out when he needed a blade to try. Yup, I am just an asshat who is not willing to work with anybody.


Hold the Presses. I just realized something. I do not have $200.00 to go towards a new prop. I have $193.03. Paypal has to take their cut. Anytime I sell something, I always request paypal fee's. If I buy something and pay will paypal, I always toss in a few bucks to cover the fees.......... This day just gets better and better............ Why dont I just toss in a 100Grand in the box as well. Off the the PO.

As stated above, I am returning said 9-15 Hooker. I always spend the extra money for Insurance. Even though this prop is of no use to me as is, IMPROS can make it back to 100%. It can definitely be repaired. So, Naturally I am going to do the right thing and send it with $250.00 insurance just in case. I even took extra care in packing the prop back in the box, adding paper between the blades (We dont want them damaged) along with some bubble wrap for filler around the box. Then Taped up. As a piece offering I tossed in a 100Grand just to say "Hey, I am not a bad guy". and a little extra Sumtin-sumptin............. And I saved $3.00 not using the Flat Rate Boxes like I used to sent originally.... What a savings!

Your packing job looks wonderful. Seems a Little excessive though. As your 10-16 did arrive just fine. Sorry the prop was further damaged that I though. Again my issue is not taking that prop back. I'll always take anything I sell back that someone is not happy with. My issue is what I spent on the prop. Though in all fairness you was nearly perfect. But after you last 5 posts on this thread. Should I be scared to eat the candy bar?
