Big hub Scat 12/17 and WW Cone combo

I just started running this combination and it does not have the snap I was expecting. Would it be worth it to try the stock cone? It seems to cavitate just a little but it's hard to tell. I want to try the TBM pump cone but cant fork out that kind of $$ right now. My reduction nozzle is not bored and my ski has the typical limited setup for what its worth.

I installed my TBM setup with my existing Concord 13/18 and it works great. Better hook up and good snap. I am using the shortest cone with a stock 82mm nozzle. I borrowed sjetriders Skat C+75 13/18 mag prop with the big hub that matches the TBM main body diameter size. I did not like it, I noticed a big difference in power delivery. It seemed to put a serious damper on my low-mid power. The Skat Mag prop is alot heavier than the Solas so I am sure there is some extra flywheel weight effect also. The Skat had better hook up but the power loss was not worth it. I plan to have my concord cut back 3mm this winter to improve the hook up even more. Ride my boat when you get up here in Aug.

What motor are you running?

I am running the C-75 12/17 with TBM and it hits pretty freggin hard with my 780cc TLR flattop motor..... I have a 13-17 concorde in my garage, maybe I will have to give it a try.

Keith, So what your saying is you didn't like the big hub Scat? I checked my carbs yesturday and found out my front carb was way off on the h/s. I must of turned it the wrong way when I made some adjustments to it last week.:bad3: Maybe that was the reason. I will be up there the weekend of the 18th so see you guys then.

Cracker, I'm running a 62T with stock porting, dual 38's, Limited B pipe and ADA head (35cc domes) and stock electronics.

I am running a 62T case ported, 61x cyl at 84.25mm with moderate freestyle porting. 46mm dual carbs on a Boyesen intake with Boyesen CF reeds. B pipe mod chamber & MSD enhancer. It rips on bottom and has great overall power with the TBM & Concord. The 13/18 mag prop seemed to put a damper on that initial hit and dampend power througout the whole RPM range. Maybe if it had been pitched lower it would have helped. I think the mag weighs about 2.2lbs where the Concord is around 1.5 or so. This was the single most noticeable power delivery difference I have seen, second only to going from a stock to B pipe. If I had your HP I am sure that would work a lot better. Wanna trade motors?? :fingersx:

The 13/18 is to high but works great for the strokers.

The concords (13/15)&(13/17) seems softer in throttle response then the 12/17's BH both tested with TBM.

I do have different weights. One concord is 2.0 lbs. even & the other 13/17's is 2.3 lbs. The skat 12/17 Mag is 2.2. which is the same.

Mike- Do you what to try the TBM? :sneaky: I have an extra to try out.
