Best way to build a 750 upgrade x2

I recently bought some jetskis, two yamaha 94 waverunner pros, and a or 750sx. I was planning on keeping the standup and one sit down, but after I saw the x2 I think im going to sell both yamahas. My question what would be the best way to build a 750 x2. Should I buy a hull of craigslist or am I better off buying a running one and finding a 750 engine for it. This would be a winter project and I know the winter is a good time to buy. Any suggestions?

I'm my opinion, the best way to build a freeride x2 is with the Rhaas 701 kit. I haven't built or ridden one, but I'm always disappointed by my 750 x2 compared to my Superjet when it comes to low end throttle.

The easiest way to use a 750 is just bolt it in with a am 650 pipe.

So would putting a 750 in it be worth it. Are they nice bikes cause I have been looking around and you guys seem really like them.

Sell all three and buy a Superjet!

Best thing to do would be to find someone near you with one and see if you even like it. X2s are love and hate...some love them, some hate them. If you decide you like the ride then purchase one.

Honestly, I a few of my buddies with AM hulls really enjoy riding my 750 powered X2. I still have some carb tuning and want to put a lower-end impeller in it, but it is pretty fun.

Mine wasn't a 750...but a rapped out -2 650. She was beasty when she stayed running. Eventually came across a great deal on a SN so went that route. X2s are fun though!

You're best off buying something clean that works and enjoying it for what it is. 650, 750, who cares as long as it doesn't break.

if the 750sx is at all rough, Sell everything, buy a clean Superjet or SXR that wont break (so you always have something to ride) and a X2 you can tool around with.

my 750sx that is 100% stock and starts every time is the best lol. always have something to ride

Then buy whatever X2 is ready to ride in the price point with the parts you like that wont be a constant headache and go ride it. Upgrade it later if necessary.

Lol we got off track somewhere. I'm not the op. I'm looking to build the most insane x2 I can not something ultra reliable lol. I was just butting in :p

Most of the issues I see with 750 X2's having no low end is the lack of air flow. The stock x2 hood restricts a lot of air. As soon as you modify the hood for more air flow, it almost doubles the low end hit, assuming you have a good prop/nozzle combo. A good 750 motor with either 650 electrics and no rev limiter, or 750 electrics with timing advance plate, a 750 or Superjet pipe (not a 650 pipe, too small), and dual 44mm Mikuni's, will yield a very capable, hard hitting, 50-52mph x2.

How accurate are your guys MPH? 50-52 seems awfully fast for a limited 750, unless it is a all top end setup and no bottom end.

My Kommander/Newmiller 800 with 48's, 200psi, setback mag is only pushing 53.4 and my group k heavenly ported 750 with 48's, 185psi, setback mag is only pushing 49.3. But both setups rip on the bottom end

I GPS with my iphone.

What's your pump setup?

Putting my stuff back into a stock hull to see how I can make things go.

Skat setback 140mm pump, long nose 13/22. Intake grate is a R&D SXR pro series cut and welded to fit in X2.

I am using a new tach this weekend to check rpm
