Best WAX to use?

I have a few scratches on my ski from a gas can that was laid on the nose of it while in the truck and I want to buff them out. Just curious if there was a certain wax or scratch remover that is better to use. Any preference?

I think the best solution to your problem is to drag your ski upside down down the beach behind your car. you'll camouflage your old scratches in no time.

So without being a smartazz...

I typically use a mild rubbing compound and a high speed orbital buffer. With rubbing compound you don't want to apply much pressure..just let the weight of the buffer do its job.

If you don't have a buffer it can be done by hand..but will take alot longer. However if its a deep scratch there won't be much you can do with it. If its just a bit of a smudge or a marring you will be able to get it out.

Getting the scratches out first it depends on which ski it is. You have many in your signature.

Your X-2 is SMC with Paint, your RN top deck is fiberglass with gel coat, your SN top deck is Metton with paint.

It's for my SJ. Of all my skis, it has the best paint on it so I'd like to keep it looking good for a while. It was painted before I got it and it looks awesome in the sunlight. The X2 is just a beater ski. The SN is gonna get rattle canned, but I've been spending some cash on the RN lately and I want it shiny again!
