Best riding spots in North Texas?

I'm new to the area and stand-ups in general. Good enough to get around on one but still getting my footing on it.

I'm right by a boat ramp on Lake Lewisville but this lake is so choppy it's not even fun to ride on. If it were big rolling waves I could jump that would be one thing but it's just obnoxious small to medium chop from the wind.

Are there any good lakes or areas near north DFW for stand up riding?

Love my little lake. West Tawakoni. Can always find a protected area of the lake to run on. There is a pretty large group of stand up guys that run Lewisville. Do a quick search on YouTube.
