Best pump for 2023 Yamaha Superjet

Any suggestions for an aftermarket pump for my 2023 yamaha superjet (4 stroke)?

I purchased two of these Solas before and they failed twice (first after a month and second time after a week). Looking into other options just not having any luck with them.

Yeah bearings overheated/melted and failed twice and water got in. Yeah here are some pics.

There is also some speculation about the bore not being accurate in the housing but it was never measured with calipers or anything. So no ones knows why it keeps failing. Don't want to dump another $1K and have it break again after a week so would rather try another pump.

In line boring bushings for heavy equipment and general rule is a .001 per inch of bore of interference fit. If OD of bushing is 2" then ID of housing is1.998". I not sure if is the same for a roller bearing but id imagine its in the ballpark. Id say get new seals and bearings and open up the bearing bore in the pump some so they dont get so hot and burn out the seal letting water wash them clean.

The second pump that was put it had all new bearings and seals which we thought initially was the problem with the first one. Ended up failing even faster than the first one unfortunately.

Are there any other aftermarket pumps out or would fit for the 4 stroke SJ besides the Solas? Seems I can only find this Solas one and don't know any people using it either on the 4 stroke SJ for comparison.

Use bearings with a C3 or C4 and make sure they aren't too tight in the housing. If they are overheating then they fit too tight.

Freedom Racing Thailand makes what appear to be quality pumps for all kinds of skis. I know some guys use them with success, but not sure how easy is is to get one here or what the cost is. I'd like to try one for sure. The solas pump is the same diameter as stock and only 3 additional veins, it would be nice to try a larger diameter and more veins.

How do you like the solas pump compared to stock w a solas impeller
In rough water or upon re-entry after a jump it hooks up much faster than the stock pump, its a noticeable difference. We put one in a SXR and after a few years we wanted to sell the ski, so I removed the pump before selling it. Riding the ski in the rough LOTO water after being used to the Solas pump really drove home how much better they are in rough water.
