When I had to pull mine for a clogged hole in the pipe, I torched the sheot out of it, backed the nut all the way to the top of the screw to it was right near the allen head and slowly reefed on it. Lots o heat. and of course anti-seize when I was done.
heat the boss around the screw and get a candle with bee wax in and let it melt down around the threads i know it works well with broken off nuts and bolts mabe penetrating oil will be better.but id try puttin 2 nuts on the screws if their is enought threads and use both and allen and the jam nut to back it out.
Yes heat it and VERY carefully move the screw back and forth especially little if it's in there good. Might take about 10-15 minutes if it's bad. But remember like everyone said. Heat is your friend and something like PB blaster or Kroil penetrating lube. Good luck!
when i do it, i use vice grips on the screw, but with and allen wrench in place as to not collapse the screw. wiggle back and forth to break it loose. plan on buying 3 new screws.
I got the top bolt off with heat. the bottom one is really stuck, I was able to clean out the hole on the bottom with some wire so I'm probably set now. thanks guys!
Just got say this thread saved my Factory B Pipe, all three of my screws were badly corroded in place. But I broke out the acetylene torch and heated them and the aluminum up and they came right out!!! Thanks
