I'd rather use a press fit, the brass is soft enough that if you drill just barely smaller, you can press it in and never have to worry about it.

Any epoxy that's fuel resistant will work well.

Even those press in oem fittings have been known to vibrate loose and some epoxy is a good idea IMO.

I drilled, taped and threaded.

Bit of lock tight, that was it.

Sandblasted the cases then clearcoated them with the fittings installed. We'll see how that holds. No epoxy.

did you thread the OEM pulse fitting because they sure seem thin. or did you buy a pipe fitting with a barb?

i also just drilled and taped my pulse fitting i went to the hardware store and got a nipple that was threaded and screwed it in it is tight and may never come out. 1/8 national pipe thread is the tap and the tap has the drill bit size etched on it.

Cant drill and tap.........older style cases without the boss. Not enough meat to tap.

Any other brands besides JB weld................(I'm not a huge JB weld fan for things like this)

Phil I jbwelded an old carb fitting for a second pulse line and it's held fine for two years. I drilled the hole just the right size so I had to freeze the fitting to get it to fit in the hole too.

im dealing with the same thing,my case is already taped and threaded,I need to find the tube fitting threaded, where did you find that at?

i got my fitting from a local store called grayco. google the size fitting you need there are 100's of places to order then from online or just send me $8.00 and i'll go pick one up and send it to you. the fittings are $3.59 then the rest will go toward shipping. pm me if anybody wants one. if you want more than one just add another $3.59

this site has them for cheaper then i can get them http://www.hydropool.com/cgi-bin/hydro/H48-3-2.html

There is really no liquid fuel for it to come in contact with, just fuel/air mix. I think JB should be fine.
But, they sell gas tank repair epoxy at most auto parts places if you don't want to use JB.
