plug tips are not bent dramatically, just bent a little. I think you have a severe lean condition on the low circuit.
What about thermal expansion?
Makes sense that a lean running plug does not have carbon build up, therefore more heat transfer to the tip of the plug. Routs1, i am with you, i know that contact was not the cause of my bent tips. It had something to do with the lean condition. Skis will run in a big spectrum of lean conditions and a small spectrum of rich condition. Tune until it bogs and then back it off and i bet your bent plugs go away (provided you don't have an air leak in the motor). Make sure your pipe & waterbox are not to running hot as well.
Rich plugs run cooler because of the carbon build up. Residual heat is burning excess carbon off which causes less heat transfer to the top of the plug. Heat rises
i think scraggly used all his likes for one day.
