benefits of a taper bore carb

what are the benefits of a taperbore carb? its tapered all the way up to the top of the f/a adapter its a sbn 44. i believe by protec. wondering if its worth swapping with my stock 44sbn on my 61x

You are increasing the air and fuel flow to your carbs without drastically changing the power-band.

dont know about carbs but did this to my nozzle and noticed a huge diff!

Taperboring 44's and 46's do have some benefit. Not a big gain, but does help with the carbs being a little more responsive to main jet changes.
