Bell MTB Helmet

I’m getting back into surf riding and I have a Bell Super DH helmet .. it’s modular, but it’s rated for downhill mountain biking (more stringent testing then regular mtb helmets). It’s super light and the padding doesn’t carry much water. Only the chin guard is removable and isn’t as strong as a true full face.

Just curious if anyone is using it and/or how people feel about it?

I dh on the side and have used a few helmets for surf and from my experiences I would only recommend the troy lee d3 glass/carbon helmets or Fox rampage series. Ive had the transom/edge of my ski hit my head and put a crack in the glass on a D3. Any lesser helmet like bell enduro or giro switchblades would of resulted serious injury.

I dont think the bell convertible helmet will do shonet if your ski lands on you. Your skulls getting split. Ive used the super3r, fox pro frame and giro switchblade and I wouldnt trust a helmet for surf freeride which you stomp flat wearing flip flops. Stand on it. I dare you.
