I want to get a beach cart here in the next few months, and wanted to know if anybody had any advise.

It seems pretty straight forward, but you never know.

No, get 1 with a wench!!!

If you're going to be pulling it by yourself on sand, get 1 that will distribute the weight over the largest area on the ground. i.e. Big tires and 4 of them.

Make sure it's got a winch too.

I bought this from lowe's, it's strong yellow wire mesh with big inflatable rubber tires. I just removed the sides, covered two 2x4's with carpet and screwed them onto the main platform. It does really well for what I use it for: 90% of the time its just moving it around on grass so you don't really need those huge roleez tires. on the beach, it is easy for me to roll it into the water and drag my sx-r out, but pretty difficult to roll it across or uphill on soft sand. even if I air down the tires, they're just not made to pull 375lbs through really soft sand. It's also very easy to disassemble and store for long trips. It cost less than $90 for me to make, so it was a cheap substitution for one.

I think there are a few threads on this already, that's where I got this idea!:headbang:

The stupid thing is that I saw one for sale on Craigslist for $40, but I was real busy and when I emailed the next day, it was gone. :banghead::twak:

Yes, I'm stupid, but I had no idea what they cost.
