I wouldn't mind giving Jetworks a try, does anybody know if the KB35XC will fit in a 1996 750 SXi? I was told a "regular" motorcycle battery won't fit in the ski and now I don't want to buy one until I know it will fit for sure.

Jetworks has a 1 yr warranty only .You need a special charger for the sealed batteries or they will fry .

I have piles of Yuasa's here that went bad .Maybe it's the extreme environment.I won't buy Odyssey again either because mine barely lasted more than a year .

If it takes a regular yuasa battery I don't see why the Jetworks wouldnt fit .
I'll measure mine for ya

odyssey's not covered for breakage?

Odyssey does not warranty their product - they make the dealer warranty them.

I have broken two Odysseys in less than 6 months each. I've been using a Jetworks XC35, and I am very happy with it.

BINGO

I had problems with odyssey also and thier written warranty is a lie. You can not just take it to any authorized dealer. This was told to me directly from thier factory rep. you can only bring it back to place of purchase and then good luck.

Yup. I had lengthy discussions about their written warranty with a rather bitchy Odyssey warranty rep. She pretty much told me that their written warranty is not accurate.

The Jetworks measure at 3 inches front to back by 7 inches wide and 7 inches tall .
It's a little taller than a Yuasa and a little skinnier front to back and same width left to right .Hope this helps .

One more note .when I ordered mine from jetworks I bought the battery tender plus from them also at the same time and I got some money off and they also offered to pay for ground shipping because I wanted 3 day select .Ground was $16 and 3 day selcet was $27 Cali to Mass.
they paid the ground and I paid $9 shipping for 3 day select :Banane01:

I don't know if this is common policy but this is the deal I got .
Their hard to get a hold of though I had to call every couple of hours to get them

They are offering a 20% off on charger so I may just drop the money and go with the best and have the "I paid more but I dont gotta worry" idea.

I was under the impression the KB35XC was sealed...whats this ST16 and such?

KB35 KB35XC Battery $ 79.50
ST16 Sealed-Tech Battery $ 64.95

I have had great luck with my PC650's, had no issues at all.

The one in my Venture, started the 1100 cc's every other day for 3 months without a charge and without taking the ski for a ride.

The KB35 is the upgrade to the ST16 standard 16clb which is the base model .the KB35 is sealed also and is the most powerful one they got

Talk about perfect timing, my Wally world battery just decided to give up the ghost. After all, it did last all of 5 months.

Seams like too many have had issues with the Odyssey so it might be time to step up to a Jetworks.

KB35XC ?

I've always wondered why people dont use motorcycle batteries...they are small, POUNDS lighter than a regular walmart battery that people usually use and can crank over my 900RR pretty easy

Some people do use them but most people I think want the best battery because it's a very critical part of the machine .
If you ride in a lake close to home it's not as important as if your in the surf a mile away from the boat launch :banghead: :frown:

ive got a brand new odyssey with 30 hrs on it for $48 shipped if any one wants it .never had a problem but have a new jetworks battery i bought before i got this ski. and want to use it.

ive had great luck with yuasa lead acid and sealed.

ive been using deka's for over a year in 3 skis and zero problems.

jesse... you said that some ooze leaked out. did you have a gel battery? maybe the charger DID trickle charge it. as i understand it, gel batts dont like low amperage charging.

Yup. Gel battery. I dunno. It's worked great on trickle charge threw out the last 2 years. I've left it on a day at a time. However it was outside on my porch for a month with little to no charge. :sneaky: it has seen the low temps and the normal temps aswel
