My battery died at the lake the other day. Put a new battery in and tested voltage before and after starting, voltage remained the same. Assumed there was a problem with the charging system. My buddy is a mechanic at a pwc shop and is particularly familiar with the superjet. He checked everything, the stator and all components in the e-box and found nothing wrong, he did this 3 times. The two batteries I had were Duralast Gold AGM batteries, neither battery would take a charge while the ski is running. We finally threw in a WPS yb16cl(I think that’s the number), just a regular lead battery and it would take a charge, voltage jumped up while the ski was running. We tried another regular battery non AGM or whatever they are called and it took a charge as well...
My question, is there an issue with AGM batteries taking a charge in these machines?? If not, any thoughts??
