Where do you get yours and what kind do you use? I am so pissed off, trying to fill batteries with no hoses or anything. Just trying to dump battery acid into the smallest hole ever! I think my Deka I just flipped the acid over and stuck it in the holes. Like male ends into female end and you really couldn't screw it up. I have a battery now that I have been screwing with and acid is just going everywhere :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: Anyone? I am past upset right now. Where can I get a sealed gel one. Just charge it and go. How much do they run?

Jetworks XC35 = all you need.

Stay away from Odyssey. Junk. Horrible customer service, non-existent warranty (from the factory). If you got a good local vendor, go for it.

Atlantic Jet Sports has a jet works for $79. I went to buy another one today but they were closed all day - wtf? It looks like I won't be getting another jet works because I need a battery for this weekend. I'll need to buy one somewhere from a retail store.

Not sure where the best place to buy them but I have had mine for 3+ years now and still going strong. I have seen some guys run the 20 series to save some weight. Lighter and nearly the same CCA.

I just picked mine up from Batteries plus. It was their version of odessy . It was 69.99 and you could pick it up ready to go. I can't remember the battery number off hand but they will be able to help you out. Used it twice with no complaints.

those dang odyssey batteries are junk!

Ive got 5 pc625s in service for over a year, and they have yet to not start a boat.

I hate that, they are so terrible, I am buying another one tomorow for my sons boat.

$72.50 local for me. not aproblem yet.

[ Matt_E's problems were valid though, so listen to him, he is way more sober than me]

Okay....my problems were due to heavy flatwater freestyle abuse. This is why Flake is fine with his batteries.

Seriously, my Odyssey's broke internally due to lots of shock I suppose. :dunno:

They're fine as long as they don't break and you don't have to try to warranty them.
THen you're S.O.L.

I have good luck with odyssey batteries so far, just don't over tighten the terminals and don't let them go dead. It's an AGM battery and they like to stay fully charged.

Im really easy on my stuff, I baby all of my toys, this is why my batteries hold up.

Or it could be that I dont run total loss ignitions and discharge/recharge them hundreds of times.

I also buy them locally, and have bought several there, so HOPEFULLY, in the off chance I need warranty service, it will actually be there.

we shall see, if they ever go bad.

which so far they havent.

I purchased a Odyssey battery, and it crapped out within a season. The factory warranty sucked for Odyssey, they didn't do anything to help me out.

I did, no thanks to Odyssey. It was a site sponsor that graciously replaced it.
That has nothing to do with Odyssey itself though.

The factory is an absolute pain in the ass to deal with.
And I'll have you know  that my failures had nothing to do with total loss and / or constant charging (this is spelled out in the manual as acceptable operation, btw). My failures were not creeping or slowly worsening performance.

They quit working from one second to the next. Which in one case caused me to have to swim my ski in to shore.
