Base gasket with big bore sleeves

Have a big bore Lamey cylinder (oversized sleeves). I always have to trim the base gasket to make it fit, and that's a PITA.

Are there any base gaskets that will fit with a bored-out sleeve? Would a gasket from a 760 fit better???

Thanks, tried to search but couldn't find anything about this.

Come on man, cutting that gasket should not take too long! How often do you rebuild your engine? Have a beer or 10 while you marvel at that amazing functioning art, called a Lamey cylinder. :headbang:

OK, I'll cut them. GOt an e-mail back from Paul Lehr saying same thing. PITA since my pistons are already on (not to mention cylinder and head....)

PS: Big plug for the Watcon leakdown tester! My base gasket AND intake gaskets are leaking. Probably saved me about $1000 to find out now\ rather than my old-fashioned way.

I am pretty sure cometic can custom make you a gasket if its a problem, they also do custom size head gaskets and spacer plates ,their prices are very reasonable,I think I was quoted $32.00 for a 7mm stroker plate.

Check with Randy at Watcon, I know he has some big bore base gaskets, just depends on what thickness you are running.
