looks like you need to drop the pole more, you are there........ best advice that I ever got was try to look at your side exhaust.... make your upper body lead the roll.

Nice vid! The rolls should clean up some if you tuck more and keep the pole on the hood. Looks like you are trying to tuck but are not keeping the pole down - same thing happens to me :banghead: You using trim on those rolls?

Looks like the effects of doing to many stabs. It's a overrotated nose stab roll. I have the same problem. :banghead: Need to keep the nose up more and roll more level.
I was thinking a shorter pole would help me, but seeing yours is soo short, maybe not.

I remember reading this that directly before you initiate the roll, the pole needs to touch the hood. Squat and the pole should touch the hood. You should hear the pole physically slam on the hood. Granted I haven't done one, just what I remember reading. :simle:

Thanks for all the advise, it really helps. personaly im just happy to rotate but it is starting to bug me that the form is more like a overrotated stab. I didnt have this problem when i was just doing flatwater, but when i started doing them off of boat wakes my timing got all off. When you start to do them bigger do you not need to tuck so much to slow the rotation?

Right now im using the stock ride plate. I have a D-cut on the way.
So if i try and put my head to my pisser, would that be good form? And the lower half of my body stays center in the ski and i leed with my top half?

Right after you do your hop, as soon as the ski is leaving the water, pull your knees up toward your chest in the squat position. It looks like your keeping your legs straight, and thats prventing the ski from leveling out in the air.

Great start, thats how I learned. You'll have it no time.:arms:

Also; Putting the pole on the hood may put you in the right position, but I don't think you need that once you get the roll down. The harder you tuck, the faster you roll.

I know putting the pole down helps, but what confusses me is a guy i rode with in china didnt really put his pole down or squate that much and he would pull compleate flatwater rolls on a stock ski

It's the figure skater effect. The tighter you can pull your legs and upper body to the roll center the faster you will spin. If you come off with legs extended and then start pulling them in you can feel your rotation speed up drastically. That doesnt mean that leaving the wake completely tucked is the best idea either. I know if I leave the wake too tucked up my rotating axis ends up being pointed towards the sky........which makes me land tail first.

Just my input...

whats the affect if i were to use the trim on my rolls? Would it make my nose point down once i got inverted?
