dont think to much just do it. wave ,pin it, look under the ski spot landing. anyone roll both right and left? i can go left or right.

as for the bf i did my 1st ride away flip the last ride of this year. man that was easy. all these years just couldnt bring myself to try one.

all these years just couldnt bring myself to try one.

why? I tried barrel rolling this year (with straps, thought my ankle would break so stopped) and that was scary as :):):):), i would half heartedly do it so I could still land if it looked bad and that didn't help lol. this coming year i hope to try to bf, and i'm thinking that should mentally be easy, just pin-pull-lean-crouch. seems like it'd be easier since your not trying to throw yourself at the water so much, or go so fast.

I found backflips much scarier to try as well. Its a lot easier to do a half a roll and throw it away than it is to do a half a backflip and throw it away.

After learning both though, I think backflips are the easier trick for sure. Doesn't take skill, just hit a head high wave, pull back and hold on.

didnt hurt me but my boat is another storie. split it right in the middle both sides.
as for y i didnt try . i think it has to due with riding for 20 years and every bone in my body saying when the nose of the boat is over your head that is not good. but as it tuns out its not so bad.

Correction: failed flatwater backflips don't hurt (most of the time). I did get smacked in the face by the handlepole once.

I think they hurt worse nosing them straight in from high up. It feels like letting someone wind up and punch you square in the eyes/nose.

OK. I'll get even more specific. Not making enough rotation on a flatwater backflip doesn't hurt that bad most of the time. At least not as bad as you would think. Sheeesh!
