im looking to keep my rn pretty stock but i want to do a couple things to give me some better lower end. any little simple things, and also if i decided to put a b pipe on it would i have to get into porting and all that good stuff. i mean would a b pipe give a stock engine any better get up???

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
bpipe will be a HUGE improvement... you should get a solas cutback impeller and a different intake grate from Dave at Impros too... do that and then you can do more later. also get rid of your rev limiter or get an MSD enhancer.

I prefer the Skat Freeride props from IMPROS, better hit right off the bottom, no lag.

But both are good props.

so do i have to do anything extra or just bolt the pipe on?
thats what im worried about. i dont want to have to get a new head and port and shave and all the stuff. at least not at this time.

Bpipe either mod or limited, I have mod on my ski and it has awesome low end power, msd and rejett carbs and you are good to go

It is true that adding a B pipe will improve your skis performance. If it were me I would go ahead and also get a nice ADA girdled head with some 35cc domes to bump your compression up to around 180. You will have to run 93 octane gas but you will have the big ole Kool Aid kid smile because of how much more brap your ski will have than with just a pipe. The girdled head will also protect you from the chance of the cyl cracking as you increase performance. These are the first two mods I did back in the day when my SJ was new and they provided me with the biggest bang for your buck power gains IMO.
