i have new hope in this thing. last night i tore it apart and re-did my cooling lines (not the cause but they needed it) and replaced the head gasket. I also noticed my exhaust mani was not lose but not tight either. that may have been an issue at top speed under load. anyway, i have done the following as well:

I also noticed my exhaust mani was not lose but not tight either. that may have been an issue at top speed under load. anyway, i have done the following as well:
new coil
new stator (90v)
new starter relay
new MSD ignition
new spark plugs
carbon reeds are perfect
checked the valve in the gas tank
new cooling lines
re-done start stop switch (other issue)
new fuel lines
new fuel filter
new gas

and probably a few others as well. Basically this ski is new, so if it does not work tonight it will be parted out and/or blown up!
Either wish me luck or take dibs on parts.

Aron, I hate to here this bro. I hope you have it solved, if stator wasnt it I was sure Chuckies suggestion would be the issue. with doing a compresion check I would assume the water leak may be in the exhaust area. Keep us posted on the outcome.

new thoughts.
I have a factory pipe that I think is causing my ski to not run properly. I am guessing (now that I have replaced all electrical components) that the pipe is not functioning properly and causing my ski to not develop full power in the water. It runs great out of water but not when it’s in. I have blown a coupler once this season and the guy who I bought it from says he had the same issue previously. What does it mean if the coupler (head to expansion) blows more than once? Is it too hot? Is there too much backpressure? Oh, the motor is bored over 1.5 and I’m running 155 psi in both jugs.

My buddy had the same problem with his 750SXI, the ski would run fine out of the water and bog down in the water. The best mech in our area was baffled. It ended up being a bent crank!! We put a new crank in and it still runs fine. "After he went out and bought a new SRX". So your solution is to go buy a new SXR and then put a new crank in your 750. Problem solved.:haha:

We went through this last season. Changed, fixed, checked, tweaked everything!! The crank was not true and it through the timing out enough to make the motor bog under load. Total freakin headache!! Who would of thunk?? Bent crank!! You have tried everything as stated. Pipe, no. Fuel delivery, no. CDI?? Timing??:crazy::crazy::headache::headache:

Check the index on the crank. It is a very simple process that requires a degree wheel and pointer, and a dial indicator. Use the dial indicator to find tdc on the front cylinder. Set the wheel and pointer to 0 degrees. Rotate the engine approximately 180 degrees and find tdc on the rear cylinder. If the crank is good the pointer will be on either 0 or 180 degrees depending upon the degree wheel used. If it is on anything else then it is out of index and needs trued.

One other thing I have seen only once was the mag end of a crank being bent causing the flywheel to make contact with the stator. The same symptoms could be caused by a crank bearing that is bad.

I am going to try the stock water box (per John at jetski solutions) tomorrow. if that does not work, then the engines comes apart. if i have to take the engine apart i am going to look to increase HP, CC's, and general BRAP so look out! :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Unless you changed the head or your GA. is off then something is wrong here, this motor had 185psi when it left TN bro. I strongly suggest checking w/ a Snap-On ga..

My friends ski had a similair problem. He had a pickup trigger go bad. See if yours is bad, if so, relace it. or replace it anyway since youve gone over this a million times anyway.

I know for a fact this boat has a billet crank, YEP thats right Billet, I doubt its the crank but stranger things have happened.

something is way off with the driveline. i took the engine out and pulled head. when i spin the driveshaft there is a slight hang up at the top of every revolution. i can only think the crank is out of align. i am going to send it off to be re-worked tomorrow.

So, whats the word on the streets?? Did I call it right?? Bent crank?? :notworthy:

dont know yet. i am going to put a buddies engine in for the freestyle fest using my boat and elec's. if that works no problem, then the crank gets sent. if that does not work, then i have another issue.

Im having the same problem with a 62T but its not reving out of water iether , Ive changed everything , now it looks like Ill be looking for a crank also :irked:
