bad vibration at idle

i got a 93 sn 650 all stock and i went riding this weekend and when i came back in through the no wake zone the ski started vibrating pretty bad, enough to kinda blur my vision. now every time i start it up it vibrates pretty bad and it always ran real smooth befor. it only does it at idle and just off idle, if i give it some gas it smooths right out. the motor mounts and coupler look fine... anyone have any ideas what it might be?

i can move it slightly. its not like its loose though, just feels like flex in the rubber mounts

Sounds like your mid-shaft could have #$%@ the bed, that or motor mounts!

that is what i though as well but the both look and feel fine. do i need to pull the motor to be able to tell for sure?

either way pull the motor
if it isnt a broke nmotor mount or coupler
my money is on the midshaft bearings going out

Yes Sir you do! You wont be able to tell without pulling the motor. I had the same symptoms last year with a SN I had, pulled the motor to find out that the mid-shaft and two rear mounts were toast!

well i pumped a tun of grease into the midshaft bearing and that seemed to help a lot, so i guessing that that bearing is goin out. so i guess out comes the motor. i think its time for a 701 anyway lol.
