Super Jet Bad Midshaft?

Driveshaft spins fine with pretty much no play, but if I put some pressure down on the shaft there is a gap between the mid shaft housing and the seal. Is this normal? Also the left side of the midshaft is covered in grease and I think when I filled it up with grease some must of pushed out past the seal because there was a giant glob at the bottom of the hull underneath it.

You should rebuild your midshaft. Get a new housing, new bearings and seals. You can reuse the shaft most likely. The grease zerk doesn't grease the bearings, you might as well just block that off.
