Hey Chic. Do you think keepers that stopped you losing the motor in a pancake would just rip the mounts out of the hull???

-O

Well, like Jerry said earlier in this thread, the Keepers would not have done me any good in this case. The keepers only help when you hit bottom nose first. I don't think you would have any potential to rip the mounts out of the hull unless the motor mounts were made of metal or a VERY stiff rubber or plastic.

I dont think you are understanding me. I am not talking about "Kenney Keepers".

I am talking about a different type of "keeper"

Kenney keepers stop the motor moving too far forward.

I am talking about a metal "keeper" that stops the motor moving too far up and down.

Do you think that would rip the mounts out of the hull if you landed upside down??

I really don't know. I guess one of Murphy's Law's would apply here.

I was surprised at my incident. Three of mine sheared completely off and the fourth was hanging by a thread.

I was just thinking about that Ollie, then came to your post!

Yeah, what if the Kenny Keeper had a top part added to it somehow... Then it would also keep the motor mounts from stretching up and down when your in that predicament.
