Has anybody compared the two pipes on a smaller engine? I have a 735 and can not decide on what pipe to get!!! I've red that the pfp aren't the greatest for smaller cc's. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated

wait till after wf, there is a pipe out there that is designed for 700ish cc,cost looks real nice with a billet mani.. 700 cc pushing 155 with a 13/18 ...hard to belive eh

I am very interested. Also just saw that tnt has a new pipe. Might be a little behind but looks good and guys are saying good things.

But to answer the original question. I have an 809 and the switch from b pipe to pfp was jaw dropping how much power was left of the table by the b pipe. Imo it's worth the extra cabbage.

Well that's good to know. How was the running process? I've heard to dial in a pfp with lower cc's you have to be a tuning master

I'm no tuner though so take it for what it's worth. Almost had to relearn how to ride with all the extra power. Definitely moves the power band up a little bit though.

running dry yes, more ignition, cooling and pump tuning needed to maximize potential.running wet much more easy to make the pipes pb work around what you have and where you want it to come on.

Ive done it with a pfp its all in the pump and setup even on a 701 the pfp blew away the b pipe...... the bpipe looks like it belongs on my citation 300

I've tried it on a 1000cc back to back with b pipe and it was big gains. I figures it would as well with the smaller. Just a lot of coin just to try.

So running a pfp 735 and a 155 would be alright then? Any idea. All this is in a g2 bob by the way

735 with a pfp and a 155mm pump would need a very very very low pitched prop to get it going. I'd think about spraying the pfp a bit or just getting the tnt v2 wet pipe. Msd total loss (spark energy and timing) would help with a 735cc in front of a 155 also, but along with TL comes cost and maintenence......

Ya it's up in the air for a 155. I have a 144 mag now Haven't decided on prop yet. The v2 looks good and seems like a lot of guys are happy with the set up

thats what I was thinking but with a front mount pipe like the pfp pipe setup sim but sized specific to a 700 motors cc and port timing, using a much bigger higher flowing exh mani much closer to ideal specs for the exh size, They were pushing a 13/18 on a 155 and had room to go up./....
