To the original OP, my brand new B-Pipe lost it's powder coating within 6 months of salt water use so I wasn't interested in doing it for a second time. I opted to send mine to a place in North Carolina that specializes in Ceramic coating (
Jet-Hot, I believe?), and would do it again in a heartbeat. I shipped it in similar condition to yours and it was returned in the above condition with a bill for $175.
Now, you may say that $175 is a lot of money but nearly 8 years later, it pretty much looks the same as it did after the first three rides. And while that is important, the performance gain is the main reason I'd do it again.
The pipe retains the heat longer which widens your power band and makes it pull like it had an extra 100cc's!
