B Pipe Question

EightySeven550

Always just this close
Hey all,
I have a stock 650 SJ SN,
I was trying to decide whether I wanted to get a 701 or a B Pipe?
I have an op to buy a 701 fo 600.

Any thoughts on this are welcome

Also, what would be the cost of a B pipe (abouts)

Thanks all

650 yamaha are pretty mild out of the box. I would get the 701 and sell the 650. Your prob going to get more gain with the pipe but not much. Say you get $300 for your 650 motor your only out $300 and your ski is going to be worth a hell of alot more with a 701 in it rather than a 650 with a pipe.

A stock 701 hits better than a 650 with a pipe in my opinion.

My stock RN hits better than my 650 bolt on square. Might be the tuning though...

Honestly, it doesn't matter. You'll want a pipe sooner or later, and the B-Pipe will transfer over to a 701 if and when you get it.
Buy it now or buy it later.

Not sure on your skill level but as far as I am concerned you should build your core first and than branch off from there, in this case get the 701 and you'll have a nice platform to build off of for many years to come. The b pipe will come but I would start with the 701 get it tuned nice, add a good lowend SS prop, intake grate, set of bars, footholds and start practicing, motor wise it should be a night and day difference from your 650 and should keep you entertained for a while. You'll know when your ready for some more brap. Just my 2 cents!
