b pipe head pipe differences

i have a b pipe that i bought new about a year ago for my sj. i just bought another b pipe for my blaster and noticed that the manifold and headpipe (on the setup i just bought) have a smaller opening where they meet. is it possible that i have a setup for a 650? Why the smaller inside diameter?
