told ya... an 8mm socket on a long extension is the best way to make sure those clamps are torqued properly.

Pick up some t clamps that are used on turbos. Friggin wicked strong. I use them on my sj and have never had an issue. They are stainless and are cheap. I don't have any pics on the ski, but here's some on my truck (42 psi boost and hold fine). Same exact clamps, only bigger on the ski. The last clamps you will buy.

dman, those are some beastly clamps! if i have more issues with mine ill look into those. what made you go to those on your sj? did you have problems with the clamps supplied by factory pipe?

No problems other than I just didn't trust the regular stainless clamps. Sometimes they strip and skip, or twist which leads to skipping and or strip a bit. With these I know I will never have to worry about anything. For me it's peace of mind knowing the clamp will never fail.

yeah I meant 7mm.. Stupid factory pipe hardware one size different than yamaha stuff.
