are the wear rings different?

i went to install my new (used) wear ring today, this one is different from my 1990 wear ring. it does not have threads for the long pumps bolts to screw in to.

are there different wear rings for different years?, i figured they would all be the same since its a 144mm pump.

what do i do now? thanks

It has to be from a sit down then.
Sitdown Yamahas do not have the threads. You'll have to get some nuts and put them on the backside. There is room between the pumpshoe.
Ive been running one on my Superjet for a couple years now that I got from Jetmaniac.

Ya, you could do that too. There is aprox. 10.50mm or 3/8" of material there in that boss. Good idea if you dont want to do some nuts.
On the sit downs they thread into the pump shoe.

im gonna try the heli coil.... if i were to put nuts on the back side i would have to get longer bolts.
