are OEM SN & RN turnplates the same?

I used the oem turnplate from my 1991 SJ on the roundnose pole I mounted to it.

everything went together just fine.

as far as I can see, they are interchangeable

I have both at home, and they're the exact same. I bought a round pole with plate to put on my squarenose. I had shortened the stock plate I had already, so I just put it on the round pole. Works fine.
