Instead of selling my Riva Powerbomb I have been considering just buying another to use for a dual carb setup but am not sure if it will work. I know that OEM carbs are not allways the same and should not be mixed and matched even when the same size/design is used. My question, if anybody knows, can I purchase another powerbomb and run it side by side with mine and be sure that they are internally the same? My carb is silver where most I have seen are black, not sure if that makes a difference. I plan on calling Riva today but have to wait till they are open, any input is welcome.

That was my thought, but then again if they rework the carbs anyways every carb that comes out of the shop as a powerbomb could be the same. Ill give them a call later today and post what I find. May have to trade the powerbomb for a set of duals.
they 'could be'. i know the internal circuits of mismatched carbs 'can be' different from one batch to the next. maybe riva takes those differences and modifies the carbs so that they are the same. id call and ask for the guy with the funny name LOL

If you know somebody there and can chat with them that would be great. I have recieved conflicting info from their tech department before. He answered pretty quick though and I made a point to address that the internals of OEM carbs can be different and he said its possible that some batches can be silver (and some black) but he said that all powerbombs are the same.

i did it with my powerbombs, i started with a single setup and then just ordered another and cut the shaft to make it a "slave" carb or the secondary carb. works fine.
