300/440/550 Are 440/550's, 650's, X-2's coming back???

I wish someone would have told me that trying to find perf. parts for a 550 reed was going to be like pulling teeth... My old PP 550 parts where everywhere!

I too am seeing lots of 550s coming out of the woodwork, although I think its due to the fact that SJs are scooped up so fast, and all we are left with is 550s because the are all over the place! People want standups... Its starting to show... IMO

there are more parts out there beacause there are a lot more 440/550's out there then any other standup. + some of them are over 30 years old and still running. i think thats pretty good reliability. 440's and 550's are still a lot of fun and are a really cheap way for someone to get on the water. i would never give up my superjet but i still enjoy riding the old school ski's. and it takes a lot more skill to get on one and ride. almost anybody can get on a superjet and go.

Face it. America is getting fatter and lazier by the day. The baby boomer generation that started the ski craze is pushing into retirement. They are selling off all the old toys they don't play with anymore. It's alot easier to play on the "couch" than to get some exercise. I'm just happy parts are cheap for my old school skis
