FX-1 Anyone try an Octane 140 mag swap?

I have on in my current build
the swap is the same as with a 144 pump need to change the front mounts in the tray and install a pump shoe
On the pump you need to swap out the bearings to fit the FX-1 add a spacer / seal washer under the prop and a 3mm spacer under the cone

they are heavy but should last a lifetime

Thanks DB, have you put the ski in the water yet to see how it handles? I might have some questions, trying to get my hands on the pump but wanted to know what I'm in for before I take the plunge.

I'm wondering if boring out The FX-1 shoe would work due to the pump being a 140 and not 144 like the yammi swap.

you still have to do the glass work for the mounting so why half ass it ?

Just a thought, will make more sense I'm sure when I pull all the guts out. DB how did the 140 mag run vs the 144 you have up for sale

mag will hook up better than the 144.. i ride my buds octane and you can't compare that to my sj with a stock pump.. night and day difference

Lost out on the Mag Pump so I ordered a SJ 144 instead and will do the install this winter. In the mean time I'm reading every thread I can get my hands on in order to prepare myself. Never done glass work before so I'm a little nervous. Just have to take it nice and slow.

I think MNTURBO bored the factory shoe after filling it with JB Weld or something. Maybe a little unorthodox, but its something to look at.
