Hi I was just wondering if anyone lives in or near the Okoboji, Spirit Lake (NW IOWA) area. Just lookin for some other stand ups to ride with. Seems like nobody else around here has one and it sux.

I live very close to Sioux City, Iowa and we ride on the Missouri river (it's less than a mile from my house). Very few stand-up riders around here too.
I thought about riding up at Okoboji, but I had heard that there are so many boats there that the water is always very rough as a result - is this true?

On weekends in the summer its pretty bad, during the week is when i usually go, not too many people. West lake is where most of the rough water (and tourists) are, I live about 5 blocks from the boat ramp on east lake which is almost always smooth water. But this time of year its all pretty calm even on the weekends
