Found it in my bilge as I was cleaning. It is hard rubber.
My first though was the dampener, but it is only 5/8 inches wide so too narrow (whew!)
Any ideas where this may have come from? It was found in the bottom of a 1990 SN SJ 650/protec pipe. The lord mounts and motor mounts look fine.
Thanks!!! :biggthumpup::biggthumpup::biggthumpup:

Sonofabitch. Looks like an OEM aircleaner with a freakin' Pro-Tec sticker on it.

Just messing. Have you checked your coupler cover for missing pieces?

coupler was fine all around, plus it is wider (like an inch thick)

Got it!
It is a piece of a plug wire holder like the one at the bottom of the third picture. the one on the ski is fine, but was probably replaced in the last 17 years. whew, nothing critical!
I hate finding extra parts at the bottom of the bilge:rolleyes:

Throw a scupper in there, then you will no longer have to ponder about such things accumulating in the bilge!

I have a theory that scuppers sink boats.
Turn a boat over and like a bowl it holds in air and out water.
Turn a scuppered hull over and the scupper works as an air vent and down she goes.
I am holding off on the scupper . . . .

Scuppers don't sink boats riders sink boats. I love my scupper

My flame arrestor came loose on Tuesdays ride I noticed this when I pulled the hood at home and there was not one bolt left in my engine bay. Scupper spits them all out. Yea:banghead:

I have not needed a scupper yet and dont think I will put one in the Rev either, If your boat doesn't take on a 2" hole worth of water then why do you need it and why add another opertunity to let in water:dunno: I very well could be wrong, but so far I have not ever said "dang I need a 2" hole to release water from my bilge area". A wise man once told me that a scupper is a sit and sink valve. Stock bilge and 2 rule 380's seem to be working fine with a good hood and seal.

the only prob with scupper is if you let your ski floating for several minutes
buy a couch if you wanna sit on the water

j/k brian ...but i think you will like to have one next time you loose your hood

Actually the scupper would have done more damage than good in that ordeal as the scupper would only let water flow out when moving but being that the boat was sunk it would not have done anything but probably let more in right?
Ask Sweeny about a scupper while broke down floating in the river, LOL, if your boat wont start and its sinking too it makes the day that much longer IMO.
