I hate the taste of salt water and on long rides, so I have been wearing a hydration pack on the outside of my vest. But I have never heard or seen anyone else use them. Am I the only one?
I havent chewed gum in over 15 years, , I have tried candy and what not, but I am just nuts I guess. Also if it means anything, I am normaly on the ski for 2 hours without the ability to beach it and take a break
Our whole crew uses "camelback"s. Is nice on our creek rides to hydrate, but also great in the surf. If got nothing else at least (like you said) it gets the saltwater out of your mouth for a brief time.
I just use the smallest pack from walmart that I buckle to back of my vest and hand the tube over the shoulder and tuck it under. I normally ride out of the surf area and get a drink out there under the helmet every few minutes.
