Other Anybody used this hybrid resin?

My local body shop carries this http://www.uschem.com/index.cfm?page=productDetail&id=143&docCat=3
They said they stock it because it's approved for SMC repairs on new GM vehicles.
It's pretty inexpensive AND it's in stock so I thought I'd give it a go on the crack in my squarenose and to install footholds.
Anybody used this before??

That looks like some cheap polyester based resin. You need to use a two part epoxy system (like west system or T3 from trinity) to properly fix anything on SMC. Try uscomposites.com for any supplies you may need

BTW, polyester resin will peel right off SMC and is a complete waste of time

You be the judge. I would play it safe and go with epoxy.

I too have 'tried' SMC approved adhesives and resins. To no avail.....For SMC. adhesion. Epoxy Resin(w/chopped/milled glass) and Plexus adhesive

Ha! Good call, maybe just tow a bouy around for a while "just in case".

Was suggested this let us know how it goes boat guy me says it works great and he's used it on skis.

Epoxy only for repair.... Resin research is very good and fair price
