Any tricks to removed the rust

IS evapo-rust is good enough to save that stator or any other trick

thank you I just Saw it , I will buy them witch one is the best ,somebody told me to used WD40 I used it last night with a tooth brush can it damage something, all the 6 screws turn freely

thank you very much, so if I used the electrical cleaner it will removed the wd40, THE UT is probably better than using a gunk for the Carbs

Not the answer you are looking for, Better off left alone IMO. Asking for trouble cleaning it. I'd put a little oil under the cover to attract any moisture that collects inside, and leave it at that.
 
The flywheel magnet doesn't care about the rust. I've seen spotless stator generate no spark and Davey Jones stators throw lightning. Wd40 would be the best bet. It would help prevent further corrosion. Otherwise just run it. No one is ever going to see it and cleaning it is absolutely not going to change the specs if you tested it before and after. Been there. Done that.
