I am in Emporia for training next week and wondered if I should be bringing my ski?

lol, I wish my schedule was that free. I have to get back to work for thurs and also have a ton of family showing up as of wednesday for my brother in laws wedding next weekend. I just hate sitting in hotel rooms with nothing to do but eat and watch tv.

Anything interesting to do in the area? I know there is an indoor skydiving center in Raleigh but my wife would kill me if i went without her.
